January 27 2004--Independent Musician Sassure has wedded meditation and rock music in a special release entitled "Rock The Meditation: Come Back To The Aura". What's more, this metaphysical rock piece is available as a free download from the band's Website (http://sassure1.tripod.com). Ramping up his campaign to push the boundaries of musical expression as part of the digital music revolution, Sassure is also preparing The Vanilla World View CD, a category-defying marriage of pop/rock/jazz/rap music with The Vanilla World View, a metaphysical manifesto published online two years ago. "2004 is a watershed year for many reasons," said Sassure, "including the revision of music and the distribution of music. Thanks to the Web and current audio technology, musicians can go in directions unheard of as little as five years ago. My specialty is metaphysical music of all genres, tied to no organized religion. The game here is inquiry, experimentation, a free-fall revaluation of everything we have believed in, of everything we assumed was permanent. Maybe I'm just a rock philosopher." Regarding his online meditation rocker, Sassure stressed its uniqueness. "In a mere six minutes," he said, "this piece can show you how you can add an extra twenty years to your life....it's that profound. Actually, when you hear it, you'll realize that it may do a whole lot more than that....but there's enough hype in what I've said already."
